Woodstoc design and install for the end user as well as supplying direct to trade installers.

Woodstoc designs, products and services for both the home garden and commercial site are supplied from both our standard range and are also made to measure to suit your exact requirements.

Woodstoc’s commercial customers are typically schools, nurseries, caravan parks, pubs, hotels and tourist attractions. We believe in making the buying experience as easy and straightforward as possible. The initial meeting with our customer is very much an informal one where we view your area you plan to develop and simply listen to any thoughts and ideas you may have, also making our own suggestions where appropriate. Following this first meeting we will make our own interpretation of the discussion and provide designs with drawings and prices. From here we have a starting point where we can invite you to critique your design, making changes, deletions and additions; eventually arriving at a design that meets your requirements and budget.

Included in the service Woodstoc will act as your agent should there be a question over planning permission. We will liaise with your local authority to establish if planning permission is required; if so we have our in house fully qualified architectural service where the necessary drawings and applications are submitted and taken care of for you. You have peace of mind whilst we do the work. With Woodstoc as your nominated agent all you will see is copies of all the correspondence between Woodstoc and the local authorities whilst your application is processed.

As a rural enterprise, based at the heart of the Ribble Valley, Woodstoc pride themselves on the natural materials used in all of the products they supply and install. Woodstoc only use timber that is pressure treated and sourced from ecologically, well managed forests. This enables us to give our wooden products a 15 year guarantee against rot and infestation.

Woodstoc (UK) Ltd specialises in the sourcing and supply of premium quality hand-carved teak and hardwood furniture, attractive and durable wooden garden furniture and a wide range of EN 71 (including Part 8), BS EN 1176/77 and CE Certified children's wooden climbing frames and swings, that encourage physical development, co-ordination and provide hours of safe and enjoyable play times.

For schools, we offer a complete package from initial meeting, full design and consultation service through to final installation. The design’s main purpose is to promote free flow access between indoor and outdoor provision, so that children can move freely and safely between them at all times.

Woodstoc are constantly striving to provide innovative and rewarding play areas that can address the five most important criteria that children identified in the “Every Child Matters (ECM)” Green Paper- being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.

Their unique and vibrant designs provide safe, physical and mental activity. Working away from the classroom becomes exciting, practical, motivating, refreshing, but most of all fun. Providing outdoor areas that need involvement and care helps children’s awareness of their immediate surroundings. This can help them make their first steps towards caring for our planet.

Trim trails are a very versatile and flexible way of providing children of varying ages and abilities physical and mental challenges (i.e. the apparatus can be installed in such a way that after practise you can move from item to item without touching the floor. Each individual piece varies in difficultly and can be matched to suit any age group. Trim trails are also ideal for schools, nurseries on tight budgets as they can be phased over time with additional items being added as and when finances allow.

The layout is completely dependant on the available space and can be installed to follow a direct line, weave through trees, form a circle etc. Woodstoc encourage pupils and staff to design their play areas and provide any necessary advice along the way.

Any trim trail apparatus below 600mm height requires no safety surfacing although some schools choose to install anyway to preserve the ground.

Wet Pour Safety Surfacing

Wet pour safety surfacing provides a, hardwearing, porous surface specifically developed for use on children's playgrounds to give maximum safety and play value. The synthectic rubber surface is made of black or coloured EPDM granules, utilising recycled materials and solvent free binders to form a continuous, seamless surface.

There are options to include various colours, shapes, games, and themes into our rubber surfacing, in order to enhance the play facility.

Grass Mats

Grass mats are 1500mm x 1000mm x 23mm thick, each mat covering 1.5 sq.M and are made from recycled rubber. They protect the ground from erosion in vulnerable areas, whilst providing a safety surface which protects users where the ground is wet or waterlogged.

Grass mats have a critical fall height of 3M.

Rubber Mulch

Rubber mulch is made up of a mixture of recycled tyre rubber with a high performance polyurethane binder. It comes in a variety of colours. It provides a waterproof safety surface that is very low maintenance. The bark and binder are plastic, therefore it dries quickly, does not freeze like organic bark and therefore doesn’t attract animals and insects. It also requires very little preparation work prior to installation.

"Woodstock recently installed a trim Trail at Heskin Pemberton C.E Primary School in Lancashire. The company was very supportive and designed a Trim Trail to meet our needs and match the funding we had available."

"Woodstock worked effectively and efficiently. The Trim trail was installed and completed by the due date."

"The equipment is robust and sturdy, but safe and fun. The company are very supportive and have ensured us that if we have problem or we need further equipment adding they will come to school immediately to discuss the issue."

"We found that Woodstock provided good value for money compared to other companies who provided quotes to school for similar trails."

"As Headteacher of the school I would recommend Woodstock."

Heskin Pemberton C.E Primary School

"I am very pleased to be able to recommend Woodstoc to you.  We have employed them over the past 12 months to install a climbing tower in the grounds of our school and following on from this, a Key Stage 1 outdoor play area consisting of a substantial decking area with storage facilities and access to the playground."

"My colleagues and I have been very impressed with the high quality of the finished work and would not hesitate to employ the firm again.  When on site, they are extremely trustworthy and operate in an appropriate manner consistent with working in a school setting.  Their work has always been completed within a set timescale and has been extremely efficient."

"There is no doubt that you will receive a personalised service from them and their after sales support has also been of a high standard."

Mr Frank Green

Cockerham C. E. School, Lancaster

"The climbing wall and the trim trail which Woodstoc installed for our school last year have been a huge success for our pupils. They have frequently used the equipment and the design was tailored to the needs and plans drawn up by our children and School Council. The neighbouring school has since purchased a larger set of equipment from Woodstoc as they saw the quality of their work paying dividends at our school. In regard to construction the plans for the work, regards to health and safety and communication with school were all excellent. The materials used were substantial, as were the foundations for the equipment."

"I would recommend Woodstoc to other schools without reservation."

Mr Giles Storch

Euxton Church of England Primary School, Chorley, Lanacashire

“Our old equipment in the beer garden’s play area was well past it’s best but we needed to replace it because it was a big part of what our business is about, being very much a family pub where somewhere for the kids to play outside is what our customers want. Woodstoc advised and suggested solutions making the decision to spend our hard earned capital an easy one."

"The beer garden and play area is as popular as ever and the customers keep coming back."

Mrs Joanne Blackburn

Kings Arms, Clitheroe, Lancashire Winner, North West Family Pub of the Year 2009.

“Everything’s great, I will be recommending you, thanks”

Mr Tony Leach

“Woodstoc provide a no fuss service and the products are all of the best quality and workmanship”

Mr David Dunn

Blackburn Rovers Football Club

"Nick Beard at Woodstock carried out work of the highest quality at my Pre school in Clitheroe. This involved the building of an outdoor covered sandpit which, after a year of heavy use, is still looking and performing well. The outdoor mirror and chalkboard have also proved to be of excellent quality. I cannot fault the service; Nick and his team were totally reliable, polite and their price was highly competitive. They were also happy to make small changes to the work after the job was done. I would not hesitate to use them again."

Mrs Nancy Bigmore

St James’ Church of England Primary School

"Woodstoc have created a fantastic water play feature for us at Whitegate Nursery School and Children’s Centre. They worked closely with us to develop exactly what we wanted. Our children are very interested in running water and so we have two pumps which the children can operate independently. The excitement this creates as the water rushes out is great. The opportunities for the development of scientific and mathematical concepts as well as cooperation, team working and problem solving are endless."

"Woodstoc are a wonderful company to work with and after care has been excellent. We have had engineers visit to adapt the pumps and water storage systems to make sure it works just how we need it to work."

"Many thanks to the whole team for your continuing support."

Whitegate Children's Centre, Victoria Road, Padiham
